I'm leading a fairly short, easy ride Saturday morning because of the BBC's picnic ride on Sunday.  The longest picnic ride is 58 miles over flat to rolling terrain but the pace tends to be very fast.  This is the classic Snickerdoodles ride that travels approx. 23 miles to the bakery in Hampstead for a pastry/coffee/bathroom break.  The return is easy with only a couple of small climbs so the group tends to fly back.  Rain will cancel the ride.  If access to Oregon Ridge Lodge is blocked because of an event, we will leave from the Oregon Ridge Nature Center.  The access road to the nature center runs behind the Oregon Grille restaurant at Shawan and Beaver Dam Rds.
