Note: Because of the warmer temps (last week it was winter gear!) we will be starting at 9:00 a.m., an hour earlier than originally posted. Bring plenty of fluids, and wear sunscreen.
Directions I-695 to Exit 24 I-83 North to Exit 31. Right on Middletown Road. Left on Frederick Road to stop sign. Left to remain on Frederick Road. Park at dead end at the NCRR Trail. (Note: this is a road ride, even though we are parking near the NCR Trail.)
From Dan Artley: This is an easier version of my winter warmer ride without the three (Gary Brandon rated) "Oh Mama" hills near the beginning. Many of the same roads from middle to end, but a different warm up. Snack/lunch stop in New Freedom. Not quite Gary's York County Flatlands tour, but this is the ride I present to friends who come from much flatter climes. Pretty easy considering it starts in Parkton. A very pretty ride that demonstrates why Baltimore is such a great area for biking. (The course has approximately 2300 ft. of climbing.)
Lots of places to eat about midway through the ride, including a spot for ice cream!
