Cancelled due to high winds in excess of 20 mph

Start: SEV; Distance: 48/38 miles; Description: Scenic rolling to hilly rides in the Glen Rock, New Freedom and Shrewsbury area. Lunch at the Amish Market in Shrewsbury (Mile 31).

Corrects for Line Rd changes @ mile 34.6; White Oak goes R (instead of L) back to Hain. (Amish Market closed on Sundays--use Glen Rock for lunch/snack stop)

Sheet 5 is the 48 mile version-- Sticks Rd Detour

TCX: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29787350

Sheet 2 is the 38 mile version

TCX: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/6655325

Starting point Google map: 7th District Elementary School

I will bring a cue sheet with the 48 and 38 mile versions (Sheets 2 & 5). The 48 mile version has been modified significantly due to 2 bridge constructions (Sticks and Gemmill)

School is in session and therefore parking may be limited due to baseball and lacrosse games. There is parking on the side road. If it is really tight, the ride start can be moved to Md Line P&R.

SamKlitzner Jim,

N.O.A.A. is calling for gusts of up to 38 mph from 10-11 AM tomorrow, 37 mph @ noon, and 36 mph @ 1 PM. That's definitely something to consider. If it were "just" steady winds around 22 mph, that would make the ride a challenge. But gusts close to 40 mph is pretty serious. I've been moved sideways at least a foot on a 500 pound motorcycle in those conditions. It's not fun.
