An early morning ride to try and beat the heat. Mostly low-traffic roads in Howard County, with an elevation gain of ~1600'. Rest stop at High’s at mile 18.
There will be a 37mi option: with an elevation gain of ~2000’, RWGPS#36544285. Rest stops at mile 12 nd 27. Ride leaders will ride the 28 mile route. Printed cue sheets will be available for both rides.
Meet at the parking lot across the street from the port-o-johns between the tot lot and the tennis courts, on the right when you enter the Park from the Carrs Mill Rd entrance.
Note: On the 37 mile route, Ed Warfield & Florence Roads have been recently chip sealed (2 miles), and Watersville Road (0.2 miles). Driving the route in a car, the impact for cycling appears moderate. We rode the 28 mile route Wednesday, and none of those roads had been chip sealed.*****
