BBC Traditional Ride: Join the Accountants and Tax-payers for the Red Rum Ride:
First 18 and last 15 is very gentle. The rest is tough for April 16th. Six mile climb over South Mountain at mile 18 (very hard-lots of 14% grades) and then a two mile climb back over the another side of the mountain. The six mile climb is one of my favorites and almost traffic free. Lunch at mile 42 (if open/after both climbs) or mile 56 in Emittsburg after another one mile climb.
Rain (or extreme winds) date is April 17th-the next day at the same time.
