Short ride to leave something in the tank for Sunday.  Bring snacks as the only stop is the Monkton

Rd rail trail crossing where there are restrooms and a water pump at mile 17.  Starting early to

avoid t-storms.

SamKlitzner In general, if Gene has a RWGPS link he'll post it. If not, he always provides accurate cue sheets at the ride. If you have questions about elevation you can shoot him an email, but it's safe to assume that all Baltimore County rides are going to have some climbing. Depending upon the length of the ride there's going to be between 2,200 ft and 3,400 ft of climbing, give or take. Hope this helps.

gary_kelly An acquaintance, Heidi, recently opened the Monkton Hotel Café at Monkton Station. Riders can get cold drinks, desserts, sandwiches, etc. It's open every day but Tuesday.

SamKlitzner Just a heads up for the "Get Directions To This Ride" link. (I learned this the hard way on yesterdy's ride.) It doesn't actually take you to Sparks Elementary School. It gets you close, but Sparks Elementary School is actually on 601 East Belfast Road, not 14824 York Road.
