Cancelled - Moved to April 22 - My annual posting of a mostly gravel ride in Michaux State Forest. I've not gotten any takers yet but I figure I'll get some eventually. Quite hilly with 5500' of elevation gain over 52 miles. First 13 miles are quite hilly and then it gets easier. There is a very short section of double track, otherwise mostly fire/back dirt roads Lunch/snack at mile 35 in Pine Grove Furnace, home of the famous 1/2 gallon ice cream challenge for AT thru hikers (free if you eat all the ice cream in 30 minutes I think). I use 700x42 tires but you could get by with thinner tires.
Park in the gravel parking lot on Pine Grove Furnace Rd (Rte 233) just north of Lincoln Hwy (Rte 30) near Caledonia State Park in Pa (Caledonia Furnace Monument & Thaddeus Stevens Trailhead).
