38th Annual Kent County Spring Fling
May 22-25, 2020 Memorial Day Weekend
(3 day option available – Friday to Sunday)
Join the Baltimore Bicycling Club on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay Eastern Shore for rides from 11 to 100 miles on lightly traveled roads. Routes meander along flat to rolling terrain, through quaint rural towns, and beside scenic rivers. Excellent cycling for all ages and abilities! Plenty of fun for non-riders too!
Join us for the Perfect Cycling Weekend!
You can’t beat the award-winning cuisine—7 all-you-can-eat meals, wine with dinner, dessert and cordial parties, ice cream social, dancing, music, snacks all day, yoga, pool access, socializing, and much more. Don’t miss the Chestertown Tea Party Festival, just a 10 minute walk from the college. You will love the music, dancing, living history, crafts, and local foods. www.chestertownteaparty.org.
NEW! Two great destination rides:
Saturday: Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor’s Center. A 33-mile remote start ride that also tours the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Get all three: history, nature, and wonderful cycling!
Sunday: Ride from the college to the historic Massey Aerodrome. Visit this unique sight—a living airport museum and aircraft collection. After the visit a delicious catered-lunch awaits you at beautiful Worton Park.
The usual rides to Betterton Beach, Rock Hall with lunch on the pier, Centreville, Galena, etc. will be available. Or ride to the bird sanctuary at Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge to see the soaring osprey.
