Baltimore Bicycling Club 2025 End of the Year Celebration Volunteer Recognition Luncheon Annual Meeting

A big thank you to Gloria Epstein and John and Jane Cole for another wonderful End of Year Celebration! About 100 club members came out to the grand banquet room at Oregon Ridge Park. Delicious food from Andy Nelson's, lots of cycling friends, and recognition of the wonderful volunteers and dedicated ride leaders—who make the BBC a club so many of us love—made for a very enjoyable and memorable afternoon.

Washington County Getaway - 2025

I would like to report on the Washington County Getaway Event held
October 17,18, and 19 in Hagerstown, Maryland where all rides started at Washington County Regional Park. The sky was clear blue for most of the weekend, with the air in the AM being crisp but complemented by the
emerging color changes of the leaves. It was a scenic delight to

Pat Lapensee Recognition

The Baltimore Bicycling Club appreciates the years of service that Patrick Lapensee has given the club.

Pat was elected to be President of the Executive Board in the Fall of 2019 and he commenced his first term at the same time as the COVID virus reached pandemic proportions in early 2020.  Pat led the Board through the critical decisions taken so the BBC could respond to the pandemic shutdowns.  Pat served as BBC President for another three years and then for an additional two years as Past President.

Pat – thanks for your many years of service to our bike club.

Civil War Century - September 6, 2025

Thank you to all the volunteers who made this a successful event! You uphold its national reputation, attracting the enthusiastic riders pictured above, who traveled all the way from San Diego! While the majority come from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia, we attracted riders from twenty-three states! Our final registration count approached 900 and we netted a positive financial outcome on the same order as last year. This year we had good luck with the weather with just a passing sprinkle in the afternoon.
