Re: Mt. Airy NEW YEAR's Ride notice

Is the memorial at 3:30, or it is 4:00?

Re: Mt. Airy NEW YEAR's Ride notice

this is the cut/paste directly from the BikeMaryland bulletin yesterday:
A memorial ride and vigil will be held Thursday January 1st, 2015 at 3:30 PM. The ride start will be at Bishop Square Park, Northwest corner of intersection at Charles Street and University Parkway (adjacent from the Cathedral of the Incarnation) and the vigil will be held at Gallery 788 and De Kleine Duivel.

Please spread the word and if you discover differenntly, please notify, we would prefer 4:00

Re: Mt. Airy NEW YEAR's Ride notice

Larry,

Pardon my ignorance, but are there still going to be ride leaders for the longer rides?

Re: Mt. Airy NEW YEAR's Ride notice

Thanks for the follow up.
Mt Airy New Years rides have always used self-guided 'show and go' cue sheets.
sometimes volunteers with more knowledge of the areas have help with leadership.
Because participants in the longer, hillier rides have always been our more experienced riders, there has not been a need for assigned leaders.

Okay, thanks Larry. (It's the first year I've been on your New Year's Day ride.)

Re: Mt. Airy NEW YEAR's Ride notice

we are looking forward to your attendance.
In addition to the refreshments HoCo cyclists and Linda provide, attendees usually bring leftovers from parties the night before.Leave the bubbly home.
We are thankful to BBC's Gloria for getting us listed in Out Of Bounds.

Re: Mt. Airy NEW YEAR's Ride notice

Excellent. I d/l'd all the cue sheets, mapped them on Ride With GPS, and have the .tcx files loaded in my Garmin. I just wasn't sure about the ride leaders/timing, etc., since you said you'd be leaving early. Now it's clear. Thanks.
