I'll be leading this 15-17 / 18 mph BBC ride from the high school. Come on out to Athlton HS at 9:30 to ride on some familiar roads in Howard and Montgomery Co's. Lunch / rest stop in Lisbon.

Joe,
I have a circa 97 / 98 Proflex 857 that I bought used in 99.The brakes & handle bar are the only parts that have yet to be replaced.
I like the V-brakes because they are easy to adjust ,the pads are cheap & are easy to replace. They seem to be much less 'grabby' than the disc brakes on my Trek as well.

I did my usual loop today.Good thing too, because it looks like it might be too muddy for quite some time :-(

And now class, it's time for mtb bike 101's 'teachable moment' of the day !

stream depth > gortex sock height = cold wet foot :-)

I'd like to say hi im new here i've been lurking around for the past few weeks and finally decided to join up. i see how
everyone is contribuiting to one another and help others out i hope to do the same. just thought i just swing a warm hello!

Joe,
You have been misinformed.Waivers are NOT required for all BBC rides! The Tue. -Thur. "Glenelg" rides which are  listed / promoted on the BBC website are 'show & go' rides. There are no leaders & NO waivers.

If those rides don't require waivers and are listed on the website, why can't I , or others post 'show & go' rides?

I don't see the newsletter option either. This is what I have.
