Teeter Rd is closed for construction between Frock Rd and Harney Rd on the MD/PA line and is NOT passable by bike. Walt checked the road today. We are revising the Picnic 48 which we are leading on Sunday.

The 35 mile short ride does not go that way so will not need revision.

However, the Casual 24 mile route comes back on Teeter and someone will need to revise that section of the route for that ride!

See ride calendar for details. Sorry for the late post, the "add a ride" page was not working last night, but thanks to Will, it is functional again.

Harwood to North Beach, 37 or 42 miles, 10:30 start at Southern HS in Harwood.

I was trying to post a ride, but the "Add A Ride" page is not responding and is coming up blank.

Hi Jim,

Whatever software you used, we can't open it on any of our computers, even a windows computer, without having to download more software - too much trouble. Hope you're bringing cue sheets.

Renee,

I don't have a GPS app either, but I was able to print the cue sheet from my computer. Here are the steps I used:

1) in calendar view, click on the ride you want, then click on the GPS link

2)click on the "More" box on the top left side

3) click "print cue sheet"

4) scroll to the bottom and click "print"

Hope it works for you. I did the ride last Sun and it is a great ride.

Due to drizzle and wet conditions, I am cancelling the ride from Runneymeade Elem Sch to New Oxford.

9:00 am start at the New Freedom Rail Trail Cafe to the Rutters in Hanover. Rest rooms available at both ride start and rest stop. See ride schedule for more details.

We rode tandem for quite a few years and even did 3 and 4 week tours. I started out with the bullhorn bars, but found I sat too upright most of the time and couldn't shift my position much. I ended up switching to drop handlebars and was much happier with the variety of positions. The drop bars will have to be wider than you would use on a road bike in order to fit around the captain's hips. They make dummy brake hoods for use as a stoker bar. Walt even cut off the brake levers so they wouldn't poke him.

Hope this helps,
Carol
