Was responding to am message in a forum and at about 12 lines message window refused to continually display the line I was typing on.  As each character was typed, the window would move down for a split second, add the character then scroll back up hiding the line I was typing on.  Even if I stopped typing, moved the window so I could see the bottom line, then started typing again, the window would immediately continue this annoying problem.  Using Explorer 8 at the time.

Bound to be a reduction in messages.  BBCTalk has been running for over 7 years and has almost 900 registered under it.  That and the forum style will naturally mean less communcations here because almost everyone won't be getting every single message in their mailbox every day.  And finally anytime a change takes place, you lose many you've had online under the old format.  But for the members of the new system, the content will be more applicable since they can control what they want to see.

As for your inspirational questions, I'm a "Dad with college expenses" so expenditures are under tight control.  But that does not mean I don't ride, just no new toys.  Contray to riding, I expect this February has been more consistent for me than any Feb since 2007.  Seems all the years trying to put up with the trainer have paid off and and I can better deal with it this winter.

Interesting.. with Explorer 8, February hover works but March, etc no hover appears.  With Chrome, February works but if you go to March the hover is full of HTML.

Used to show a brief description.  Now hover is not very useful.  Using Google Chrome (latest release).  If it works in Explorer 8 I'll post here again indicating same.

All the buttons between "Description" and area where you type the message are missing (broken pics).

Picked this up off Facebook.  Lists Baltimore as up from 2006 but static compared to 2000.  Other details included.  Free download.

About the 2010 Report:
Bicycling and Walking in the U.S.: 2010 Benchmarking Report is an essential resource and tool for government officials, advocates, and those working to promote bicycling and walking. The Benchmarking Project is an on-going effort to collect and analyze data on bicycling and walking in all 50 states and the 51 largest U.S. cities. This second biennial report reveals data including: bicycling and walking levels and demographics; bicycle and pedestrian safety; bicycle and pedestrian policies and provisions; funding for bicycle and pedestrian projects; bicycle and pedestrian staffing levels; written policies on bicycling and walking; bicycle infrastructure including bike lanes, paths, signed bike routes, and bicycle parking; bike-transit integration including presence of bike racks on buses, bike parking at transit stops; bicycling and walking education and encouragement activities; and public health indicators including levels of obesity, physical activity, diabetes, and high blood pressure. The report is full of data tables and graphs so you can see how your state or city stacks up. Inside you will find unprecedented statistics to help support your case for increasing safe bicycling and walking in your community. Bicycling and Walking in the U.S.: 2010 Benchmarking Report was funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and made possible through the additional support of Bikes Belong and Planet Bike.

Another one.... While displaying forum, click "Search" then "Show latest posts".  Page dummies down to outline form that does not do much.  Believe other 2 options on drop down do likewise.

No big deal, just figured you'd want to know.  Shake down cruise in motion current/big_smile

Thanks Will.  I went to the old BBC Web site to steal the text but noted it's not there anymore (site is, text is not).  Given that, I posted a message to HoCoCyclists if they have any input on the issue and to get a hold of me or a BBC board member on the matter.  Since it may have been pulled off the old site for a reason, I'll hold off any recommendation until I hear from either.

BTW, getting a lot of messages that have "Subscription Subject" in the message subject and nothing in the body.  Expect some notification that someone replied to a message here.  Expect ya wanted something a bit more informative.

Thanks!
