AWARDS DINNER SAT NOV 16, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM

LOCATION: OREGON RIDGE LODGE (Ride Start ORR)

COME TO THE AWARDS DINNER FOR A GREAT NIGHT OF FUN AND COMRADERIE.  FREE FOR BBC MEMBERS.

Our club's Nov 16th Awards Dinner continues the BBC's tradition of enjoying a festive meal with friends and recognizing our club's wonderful volunteers.  This enjoyable evening also provides an opportunity to talk to people you haven't seen for awhile, discuss the past Year's rides and activities, and make plans for 2020.  The spacious Oregon Ridge Ski Lodge (remember when this was a ski area) has high ceilings, an inviting atmosphere, and a large fireplace with a real fire.  Bear Bros Catering will prepare an enhanced buffet; including marinated shrimp wrapped in pea pods, fresh grilled salmon, and fresh roasted turkey breasts; along with a nice selection of complimentary beer and wine.  The caterer's one day liquor license also allows you to bring your own choice of alcoholic beverage(s).

The Awards Dinner is free for BBC members.  An individual one year membership is only $20 and allows one person to come free.  A Family one year membership (two adults and their children living in the same household) is only $30 and allows the parents and their children to come free.  Non members may come as Guests for $30 pp ($15 pp for children 12 and under).  Make the check for guest(s) payable to “The Baltimore Bicycling Club” and mail to : Jeffrey H. Marks, 3736 Clarinth Road, Baltimore, Md. 21215.

Before you register for the Awards Dinner as a member, Jeffrey would appreciate if you would verify that your BBC Membership is active.  To check, log in to the BBC website at www.baltobikeclub.org and click on “Account Maintenance in the “Member Menu”.  If the website doesn’t show you as a member, or your membership will expire before November 30th, (the website will  send you 2 or 3 renewal notices prior to expiration provided you haven’t changed your email), you should renew ASAP.  Mouse over “Membership Renewals” in the top banner menu and click the membership type that you want, keeping in mind  that a “Family Membership” allows the entire family living in the same household to come free.  Then you may renew/join either electronically or by printing and mailing in the membership application.  In the unlikely event that there’s a renewal discrepancy  between your records and the BBC website, e-mail membership@baltobikeclub.org explaining the discrepancy.

When you register for the Awards Dinner with Jeffrey, please indicate if your membership is current, if you renewed in the last 30 days, or if you are clearing up a membership discrepancy.  The best way to register is via email at jeffreym715@yahoo.com.  Jeffrey will then  email you back a confirmation.  Or, if you need to call, Jeffrey’s number is 410-358-1321. When registering,  list your name as it appears on the BBC Roster.  Since the club needs to let the caterer know how many people are coming, and to let Oregon Ridge know how many tables to set up; please register by Wed, Nov 6.  The best time for you to register is between Sept 16 and Oct 20.If you need to cancel, please let Jeffrey know by Nov 8, so the caterer doesn't charge for "no shows".  I'm looking forward to seeing you at this fun Event.

49th ANNUAL

Union Mills Homestead CORN ROAST FESTIVAL

Saturday, August 3, 2019

IMPORTANT UPDATE

NEW RIDE START / END LOCATIONS

This change does not affect where BBC riders will park.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the starting and ending locations for the rides have changed. We have been prohibited from using the pavilion/parking lot. The Homestead does not own this property.

All rides will START at the entrance to the Homestead, turn right onto Rt.97 and then turn right onto Old Hanover Rd.

For the 40, 52 and 64 mile riders: The rides will END on Old Hanover Road 0.2 miles PAST the pavilion/parking lot and JUST BEFORE Deep Run Rd. There you will need to dismount and walk on the grass back to the foot bridge that leads to the Homestead parking lot.

The 28 mile riders will dismount at the END OF Deep Run Rd to walk on the grass back to the foot bridge that leads to the Homestead parking lot.

I hope that this inconvenience will not discourage riders from joining these terrific rides and Corn Roast Festival.
