I can subscribe to a forum, but postings only come from ‘Baltimore Bicycle Club’, not the person who sent it.

Hi Dan

I don't really know what to say to you. I subscribed to all forums on day one of this new forum and have been getting all forum posts as e-mail messages. I find it quite easy to glance at them and delete the ones I am not interested in.  I don't understand what problem you are having here.

There is a way to reply to the poster of a forum message--if the poster has included his email address in his profile.  If he or she has not given you their email address then you can't send them regular email.  The easiest thing to do--and what everyone seems to do--is to just send the more or less personal response as a reply posting. It works fine.

It IS a problem that you cannot be sure that anything you post will be read by many people. How many people in BBC read the forum "website suggestions"?  probably 10 or 20.  The words I am writing now are written in the wind.... But once the decision was made to have multiple forums so that people could pick and chose what they wanted to hear, this is the inevitable consequence.

see you on the road
