Tom's and the families and friends' tragic ultimate sacrifice made newspapers from the UK to New Zealand. We have the world's attention. This is black and white. Many of us are smelling fish a week later with no action.
Let's make Baltimore and Maryland the state that is at least a two-strike state.
Though bishop Cook will not fry, a penalty of substantial time and burden will send a message.
Community service must be attached, and it must be something powerful and positive enough to effect tough changes to the way these cases go in the future, and the way we move about on our wheels.

We know Baltimore has a strong radical and rogue element among our cycling public. Who knows if they might react instead of respond to a weak or nil verdict?

With the presence our biking organizations have in Baltimore, we should be able to demand action and receive answers about this incident from our elected officials and lawmakers

we are looking forward to your attendance.
In addition to the refreshments HoCo cyclists and Linda provide, attendees usually bring leftovers from parties the night before.Leave the bubbly home.

Mt Airy New Years rides have always used self-guided 'show and go' cue sheets.
sometimes volunteers with more knowledge of the areas have help with leadership.
Because participants in the longer, hillier rides have always been our more experienced riders, there has not been a need for assigned leaders.

Organizers have requested that Thursday's ride be one of Memorial and Life Celebration, not of advocacy and protest.
Those themes can be addressed with intensity and frequency based upon further outcome. When and if  substance and/or other distraction have been determined to have played a role, appropriate action should be organized to the degree of verdict and justice.
A recurring theory is that the driver might have disappeared to sanitize the weapon used in the manslaughter.

this is the cut/paste directly from the BikeMaryland bulletin yesterday:
A memorial ride and vigil will be held Thursday January 1st, 2015 at 3:30 PM. The ride start will be at Bishop Square Park, Northwest corner of intersection at Charles Street and University Parkway (adjacent from the Cathedral of the Incarnation) and the vigil will be held at Gallery 788 and De Kleine Duivel.

Please spread the word and if you discover differenntly, please notify, we would prefer 4:00
