Club Membership in Ride with GPS
The BBC Executive Board is pleased to inform the membership that beginning in 2018 it had decided to provide a new benefit to Club members by purchasing a club subscription to “Ride with GPS” (RwGPS), a route mapping internet site. This was not a replacement to the current club's cue library, but rather an added benefit. Since then, RwGPS library has been greatly populated with many interesting cycling routes and its use has been enhanced and well utilized by our membership.
Many of you have probably been directed to this site as some of our ride leaders have been posting such links on club ride announcements. By subscribing as a Club to this innovative technology, we have gained a place to store as many routes as ride leaders wish to create and have all routes viewable and easily found on our club account.

The 2018 Greencastle Great Escape
Will miracles never cease?
For the fourth year in a row – every year we've held the event, actually – we managed to dodge a weather bullet. But this time, just barely.
Attendance at this year's Greencastle Great Escape was slightly below last year's numbers – a result, no doubt of a very wet and late-arriving Spring. And the forecast for the weekend was not very promising, either: a chance of rain on Friday, and then rain all day on Saturday and Sunday. Even so, almost everybody who had registered for the event showed up, and we even got a few who had not preregistered.
BBC Biker In Peru - May 2018
In May 2018 I went to Peru and on 4 days of my trip I biked in the Sacred Valley region between Cusco and Aguas Callientes, the gateway city to Machu Picchu. I used a mountain bike provided by Aspiring Adventures, the tour operator. Younger people on our trip headed to the off road tracks. But as a road biker, I preferred to remain on the asphalt for the 10 + mile descents that we rode each day. High in the Andes, the scenery was majestic.
That Dam TT

That Dam TT is the only road race in Baltimore County. The race is a challenging time trial around the Prettyboy Reservoir watershed. All proceeds from the race are donated to non-organizations providing support to those living with Multiple Sclerosis and those searching for a cure for the disease.
That Dam TT is the MABRA senior championship TT race. All senior races are scored as MABRA category 1.5 races in the road cup. All other races are scored as MABRA category 1.0 races in the road cup. The race is also a part of the Mid-Atlantic Time Trial Series (MATTS).
50th Anniversary Celebration Re-Cap and Thanks!

Our 50th Anniversary Ride and Celebration held on June 2nd was a big success and attended by many!
Boy oh boy, were we lucky with the weather?! Just as WBAL had forecasted, rain didn’t come until later in the afternoon. It was heart-warming to see so many riders show up on such an iffy-weather day and to see so many sporting old club jerseys. We counted over 110 riders!
BBC Booth at Towsontown Spring Festival

Many thanks to our team of BBC members who volunteered to spend part of their weekend at the BBC booth at the Towsontown Spring Festival on May 5 and 6. Their objective was to publicize our club's activities to the 200,000 visitors at this annual event. We hope to have new members who will join our club as a result of the efforts of: Jayme Abrams, Nikki Austin, Bob Carson, John Eckard, Marge Ewertz, Steve Feldman, Gary Flax, Esther Frey, Eric Frey, Jeff Huesman, Amy Hurtoom, Howie Kline, Kim Kodenski, Jim Mayhew, Mary Ellen Mclewee, Rick Todd, Bill Wiesand, and Gene Young.
