Thank you, Gene Bayer!
Gene Bayer has been serving our club in many capacities for many years. More recently, he served on the BBC Executive Board as Member-at-Large until his term expired, meanwhile he has been managing our membership for several years. After so much dedicated work in maintaining our membership accurate and viable, Gene has requested recently to be relieved from his duties if another member could be identified to replace him. After much search we were able to identify one of our valuable members to carry on in with that role. We thank Gene for his hard work, pleasant communication style, and dedication to his duties. I am also pleased to announce that Ms. Jerre Taylor has agreed to be the administrator of membership for our club. Please join me in thanking and welcoming Jerre to this important role. Please direct all your inquiries about membership to her during this transition.

Sunshine and Smiles—BBC’s Season Opener 2026

Thanks to BBC volunteer extraordinaire Gloria Epstein for putting on another great event to start the cycling calendar! After a long, cold winter, over 90 club members were very ready to ride and socialize in Taneytown. Four led rides from 27 to 47 miles helped riders work up an appetite for the delicious bagels and toppings, cookies, and fruit after the ride. Everywhere you turned people were having fun with friends old and new—catching up and planning for adventures to come.
